Dawabit Tafsir al-Nusus wa Atharuha fi Tadbir al-Khilaf wa Man‘ Tataraf [The Regulations in Exegesizing (Religious) Texts and Their Effects on Managing Misunderstandings and Preventing Extremism]

Abstract

The difference is a divine norms (Sunnah) in human life, but it is noticeable that most of the disgraced disagreement between scholars and a several school of taught is the lack of respect of regulations in interpretation and consideration of texts, which leads - often - to extremism in opinion and perhaps extremism in speech and action. Hence, knowledge of the rules for the interpretation and application of texts is a very importance, so that it leads to managing conflict and respecting dissenting opinion based on evidence and clear scientific controls, and not intolerance of opinion, doctrine or people. This research aims to explain the mechanisms for understanding the Qur’anic and the Prophetic texts and what to do when the illusions of contradictions appear between the texts, and also aims to analyze the impact of these regulations on managing disputes and preventing extremism. As for the method used in this research, it is the descriptive analytical method based on collecting scientific materials from various sources and analyzing it by extrapolating the texts of the Qur’an and Hadiths. This research concluded that the difference is a divine norm in life, and as a sign of His Greatness in the universe. However, it is not permissible under any circumstances to subjugate the interpretation of texts according to human passions and inclinations considering human differences. Also, it is not permissible to interpret the religious texts except for those who specialize in Sharia science, its origins and its branches. Besides, the interpretation of texts has personal and scientific controls related to the interpreter himself and his rules.
